What's Your Creative Pattern?
(This article was received intuitively from my non-physical spiritual “Team.”)
For better or for worse, the Law of Attraction is the real deal. Its basis lies in quantum physics where teeny tiny things become physical matter when they are focused upon. Extremely briefly, quantum physics is the theory that the stuff that makes up the Universe exists as either waves or particles. Waves “congeal” into matter (particles) once observed. Additionally, everything has a vibrational fingerprint or density, and those vibrational fingerprints attract each other like magnets. Emotions are extremely powerful vibrational fingerprints/magnets and are largely responsible, if not 99.9999%, responsible for everything that comes into matter.
With that in mind, I am calling these emotional vibrational fingerprints “Creative Patterns.” In effect, how we FEEL about any given subject is even more important than the physical action we take. Sounds easy doesn’t it? All we have to do is think positively and everything comes to us. Yay!!!
Not so fast. Though technically, that’s an accurate expectation, feeling consistently positive about any particular subject is a tricky thing. Usually our belief systems—many handed to us since our time in the womb, and others picked up along the way—are to blame. We all have certain expectations about how our lives will play out based on our beliefs. If we never stop to examine our belief systems and how they impact our lives, we “create by default”—the Creative Pattern is in place, functioning at a subconscious level. Fortunately, as beliefs are simply thoughts, we have kept thinking, with time and diligence, our Creative Patterns and the beliefs which formed them can be changed into patterns which serve us better. Here’s an example:
Let’s use beliefs about money using Mary and Bill’s stories. Mary grew up in a very poor household with both parents working long hours for little money just to feed, clothe and house their family. Mary heard constant complaints about how hard life was, how hard it was to work every day, physical complaints, etc. By default, Mary grew up thinking (and believing) that life will always be difficult.
Bill, on the other hand, grew up in a wealthy family where nobody ever talked about money because there was always more than enough: a beautiful home, wonderful food, plenty of free time, and fun things to do. Bill’s default beliefs are that plenty of money is always and easily available.
When Mary and Bill think about each other, Mary might be envious or even resentful of Bill, believing he thinks he is entitled to everything that comes his way. Bill, however, who has never had an issue about money would find it very hard to fathom that Mary can’t just go out and easily bring in more money.
So, when applying the Law of Attraction, Mary who has a deep-rooted Creative Pattern that states you have to work hard, day in and day out, and never achieving much, she may have a very hard time focusing on the joy and satisfaction of having a lot of money. She may have moments where she’s excited and really believes more money is coming and gets some small results as a result of that. However, it’s likely she will also have many more thoughts about her present situation and her ability, or lack thereof, to get out of that environment.
Like most of us, Mary doesn’t realize how many negative thoughts she has about money—she has “thought those thoughts” so frequently those thoughts became second nature, and she doesn’t realize she has created a pattern of lack.
The first thing that Mary needs to do when applying the Law of Attraction is to become aware of her negative thoughts in a neutral, non self-critical way. Each time she notices a negative thought she has an opportunity to talk and feel her way out of it. Mary cannot be expected to immediately replace a negative thought about money with excitement and expectation. It takes time—usually months or even years—to embrace new beliefs and create a new pattern of expectation that more money is coming to her with ease, grace, and serendipity.
It will be helpful for Mary to notice when those negative thoughts arise and be prepared to replace them with those of a happier nature. In the beginning it may be very hard to replace them with good thoughts about money. The great news is that she can think of anything that gives her joy. The goal is for Mary to consistently feel happier and happier and to understand that her world is highly malleable, and she can form and mold it with her emotions and feelings. As Mary is shifting the default belief system, she’s had all of her life, she is changing and improving her Creative Pattern, and circumstances matching her new pattern will flow into her life.
It’s important to notice the little things that happen to us. Many are waiting for a huge, incredible surprise that proves once and for all the Law of Attraction is real. However, it’s really the little things that matter the most because those turn into medium things and medium things turn into large things, and THEN into huge things. By the time the huge things show up, you will not be very surprised!
Lastly, please take responsibility for the good things that happen in your life, not just the negative. The more gratitude and appreciation you have for yourself for creating something wonderful, the easier it will be to create bigger and better stuff in your life. We often think of gratitude as something we give to someone or something outside of ourselves—but heck, who manifested that good stuff? You did!!!
